On the TripAdvisor online review website, The Golden Chippy has an impressive rating of 4.8/5 of more than 2,400 reviews.
Of those reviews, more than 2,000 are five stars and 200 are four stars, which makes it the best reviewed chippy in London.

The best fish and french fries store with a perfect rating
The familiar Golden Chippy opened for the first time in 2005 and has quickly become a key part of the local Greenwich community.
The Chips store shares that the most important thing for them is their close relationships with regular customers and food quality.

In 2016, the Golden Chippy obtained the official title of the number one restaurant in TripAdvisor, taking the place of Claridge’s, The Foyer.
The Golden Chippy offers an extensive menu, which offers fresh fish in a “light and crunchy mass.”
Fish options in the menu include cod, rock, eglefil, halibut, plates, scampi and skate.
Guests can also enjoy chicken tastes with nuggets or fried pieces from the south, all served with french fries and a Mediterranean style salad.
There are also hamburgers and jacket potatoes in the menu, along with cakes and sausages.
The Golden Chippy is very praised in TripAdvisor, with a guest who describes him as the “chippy perfect” sharing: “Without ornaments, sausages and fried potatoes perfectly made, and the southern chicken was divine.”
