A parliamentarian has launched a political summer school in an attempt to “overcome” the opportunities for work experience for Battersa youth.
Marsha de Cordova, deputy of Battersea, will welcome 18 to 24 years in Westminster with sessions held in Parliament and in prayers within the Constitution, including the headquarters of Penguin Random House.
The fourth summer school of the parliamentarians will be presented for the week on July 7, with speakers in politics, journalism, local government and more.

Through these sessions, students will get an idea of the work of a parliamentarian in Parliament, including policy formulation, community activism and campaign.
The political summer school for 2025 occurs as more than one in three children in high school report that they do not know enough about good work available when they leave education.
To help address this, Mrs. Cordova’s summer school has an open application process without the need for previous experience.
Mrs. Cordova said: “Very few young people have the opportunity to learn more about the work and opportunities available to them and what causes their passions, and we all lose as a result.

“That is why I am delighted to launch my fourth summer political school that will offer a full week of high quality ideas to several groups of participants.
“The Summer School will help to overcome the opportunities for work experience and increase the knowledge and trust of young people by deciding on their next steps. Include breakdown barriers and create opportunities”
The Political Summer School for 2025 will be extended from July 7 to 11 in Parliament and in Battersa.
