The London ambulance service confirmed that they were called to the scene at 6.09 pm on Wednesday, April 16, after receiving the reports of an incident at the station.
A spokesman said: “We are a series of resources for the scene, including ambulance equipment, an incident response officer and members of our Dangerous Area response team (heart). The London air ambulance was also sent.
“The first of our teams reached less than four minutes.
“Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person was declared dead in the scene.”
Train services between St Albans City and London St Pancras International were temporarily interrupted but resumed at 7.45 pm
