The with has asked the Lambeth Council to suspend Aquum’s license in Clapham while officers continue to investigate the alleged incident on March 29.
A 26 -year -old man was arrested under suspicion of rape on Saturday (April 12) in relation to the alleged assault and has been released on bail.
The woman alleges that while visiting the bar on March 29, a Aquum employee made her a bar above in the club, closed the public and assaulted her.
The woman states that she and her friends were sacrificing drinks and free shots during the night by the club’s same personnel in Clafam High Street.
A request to review the license submitted to the Council by the MET dated April 9 says: “As a result of serious crimes and disorder in the place and to guarantee the immediate protection of the young sponsor who potentially attend the place, the parliamentarians (Metropolitan Police Service) are requesting a summary review of the premises license with the provisional license of immediate suspension of the license.”
The Met’s request to suspend Aquum’s license was heard privately by the Lambeth Council licenses committee on April 10.
The Council will publish the decision of the committee at a later date.
Aquum’s website describes the place as the ‘Ultimate all in one and Night Restaurant’ by Clapham.
The club can open until 4 in the morning on Fridays and Saturday nights and until 3 in the morning of the rest of the week, according to its current license conditions.

“A 26 -year -old was arrested on Saturday, April 12, under suspicion of rape and has been released on bail while investigations continue. The victim continues to be supported by specialized officers.”
