The event, held at the Newham Leisure Center, commemorates Sarah Hammond, a Newham native who tragically died in a traffic accident at the age of 24.
Organized by his brothers, friends and the Clark family, the FUN RUN has raised more than £ 100,000 for several causes over the years.

The race began at 11 am, with trophies awarded to the runners of the first and second place in the categories of children minor, women and children under 12 years.
The race was launched by Rita Murphy, a former publicana from Bridge’s house and Denmark’s rose in Canning Town.

“In the last 28 years, our family, followers and corridors have raised tens of thousands of pounds in Sarah’s memory.
“All funds have donated their legs to health initiatives, mainly to Barts Charity and, sometimes, to support our runners with important health challenges.
“Hope and reamily have been followers for a long time of our fun career.
“Against all probabilities, Hope has managed to survive sarcoma cancer for more than 10 years, and we are happy to help her finance her in treatment and treatment.”
