The buyer bought a flavor of the difference, Easter egg of Belgian black chocolate with Sainsbury’s marine salt, but the head was scratching when weighing the holiday gift.
The Easter egg is supposed to be 230 g, but despite Sainsbury chocolate, it was discovered that only 140 g weighed.
The client published a photo of his finding in Reddit Group R/Liglyinfuriating, commenting: “The Sainsburys egg is 60% its announced weight.”

The supermarket chain also confirmed that the affected buyer has now returned the Easter egg and bought another that is the correct weight.
The Sainsbury spokesman said: “We regret that the isolated example does not have our high usual standards and is urgently investigating this with our supplier.
“We can assure our customs that there are processes to prevent this from happening and that we do not recover any other complaint of this nature for our taste, the difference, the Belgian black chocolate Easter egg with sea salt.”
