The new leisure center in Woolwich will open at the end of the year, so it is the right time to resolve the name, the Greenwich Council has decided.
The new billionaire place in Woolwich New Road will provide state -of -the -art facilities in the heart of the city, and all you need is a catchy nickname.
But interested residents who have the legs asked to participate in deciding a name will not need creative juices to flow too much, since the choice is due to three shortlishes.
These are: move woolwich. Woolwich Active and Woolwich Waves.
Residents will have two weeks to vote until Dimay on Wednesday, April 30.The votes can be cast visiting: Royalgreenwich.gov.
CLLR Anthony Okereke, leader of the Greenwich Council, said: “We are months after the opening of our new leisure center that changes the game in Woolwich, an flagship project for the counter,
“I know that emotion is not our residents that their child can take advantage of all the fantastic facilities that will be available to them.
“The new leisure center is at the forefront of our plan to improve the quality of life and health of our residents. We have invested in the health and well -being of residents and this new place will be used for the coming generations, so it feels adjusted.
Once open, the new leisure center will be the home of two swimming pools, water slides, a two -level gym, a health suite with a spa and sauna, a five -door soccer field, sports courts, a game game and a soft party space, and a coffee.
At 12,800 square meters, the three -story building Morgan Sindall will become one of the largest urban leisure centers in the country when it opens.
CLLR Sandra Bauer, member of the cabinet for equality, culture and communities, said: “This is an exciting moment and an opportunity for our residents to have a voice in a project that can very soon harvest the rewards.
“The benefits of being active are well known, but equally important is that all community members have access to first -class facilities. The leisure center, or as residents choose to call it, will provide exactly that for many, many to come.”
CLLR Majid Rahman, a member of the planning, renewal and development cabinet, said: “The new avant -garde leisure center is in the heart of the regeneration program in Woolwich and when it opens at the end of this year.
“Woolwich’s regeneration remains a key priority for the Council.
