Another action of Welling United Unsatiafactory Welling left them almost relegated from the south of the National League.
His humiliation of 5-0 at Hampton & Richmond Borough was difficult to take for Welling followers who have had little to cheer in the League since they beat Worthing.
Manager Brian Statham made two changes of the team held at home by Horchurch seven days before. Sam Cornish and Finn Ballard-Mcbride were brought to replace Jack Burchell and the injured Harvey Walker. The midfielder TJ Bramble was asked to fill in the center of the middle in a background, with four in the center of the field and two in the front.
Zanda Siziba approached the Beavers in the opening exchanges before putting them ahead in the fourth minute. Harry Gardner broke one by one against Welling goalkeeper Rhys Lovett, before square Siziba, who rolled him on the network.
A minute later, the two combined again, this time with the wide man being the creator when he retires so that Gardner plays him home.
Sahid Kamara was close to pulling one back with a rotating shot that Max Merrick saved brilliantly before Lovett made a more comfortable Lovett.
Mauro Vilhete landed an effort on the roof of the network before the hosts climbed three in the half -hour mark. Gardner Caht Jesus Davies in possession and stabilized before shooting at the upper corner.
Merrick made an unorthodox salvation of Ballard-McBride before the first half came to an end. Statham reacted making a triple substitution. Ballard-McBride, Martell Taylor-Crossdale and Maxwell Statham, who hit just before the break, were replaced by Daniel Martin, who returned from an injury, Deon Moore and Burchell.
Martin almost had an immediate impact when he exploded through the wing before crossing Josh Redfearn. He lay it for Davies and aligned Cornish whose shot struck the wrong side of the distant post.
The hope that the followers of the Wings could have housed a better second period faded seven minutes when Gardner completed his hat-trick heading home from a short distance after Lovett had expelled a powerful shot of James Roberts.
Moore approached Welling when his shot was blocked on the line by Mike Atkinson before bouncing in the post and going to the wings seemed to be stolen from a goal when Josh Redfearn’s effort hit the interior of the post, flew through a goal and hit the frame behind the other post, and was collected by Merrick. For the failure of Redfearn, the assistant referee failed to notify the referee who had crossed the line and allowed the game to continue.
Atkinson could have added a fifth for the Beavers, but Martin made a brilliant challenge that forced the pimps of an open network.
Tyrese Briscoe and Scott Kashket replaced Kamara and Redfearn and the first one had a deserted shot before Hampton completed his hand with fifteen minutes. Jonathan Page broke easily and, although Lovett, exhibited once again, got well to save, Mauro Vilhete was present to shoot him home.
Kashket scored, but it was considered that it was out of the final minutes, but it would have a bone too little, too late.
The defeat for Salisbury elsewhere meant that Welling will enter the Passover period with a mathematical possibility of anxing the fall, but, in truth, it only served to delay the inevitable.
