Amy Dowden of Strictly Come Dancing has been reflecting on her experiences since she was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago.
The 34 -year -old woman of Cajilly revealed that she had breast cancer in May 2023 after finding a lump in April, the day before her honeymoon with her companion dancer Ben Jones.
On Friday, The BBC confirmed that it would return for Strictly’s 2025 series.
Amy needed a mastectomy and underwent chemotherapy and could not compete with a famous couple strictly in 2023.
In February 2024, Dowden announced that he had no “evidence of illness” after the tests.
“Two years ago I found my lump and my instinct told me it was good,” said the dancer in an Instagram post on Saturday.
“I was about to make a full day in the dance hall with all my students in Blackpool.
“That morning in the shower is when my heart sank. I was also flying in my long -awaited honeymoon the next day.
“I knew in my entry that it was not correct. Every time I was out I checked it every day and I looked on Google when Ben was not looking.
“I remember that one day he returned to our villa and thought real about which this could be my last party. Your mind sports very fast.
“It has changed so much since then, but I am very proud or how far I have come.”

He returned to Strictly in 2024, but had to retire in the mid -20th anniversary series due to an injury.

“I constantly dreamed of recovering the old ‘I’ and you know what, this year has all the bone and much more, two consecutive dance tours, my body feels stronger and more in a way than ever,” he said.
“What I have certainly learned on the way is not to compare myself with others. I have learned to be a child for myself.
“But what I really must say and transmit is always to trust your instinct.
“Trust your instincts, trust your instinct and remember that you know yourself better than anyone.”
