A search has begun to account for residents after a house was destroyed in a gas explosion.
The Fire and Rescue Service of Nottinghamshire (NFRS) said that the specialized urban search and rescue teams were deployed on Sunday morning, after a terraces property was destroyed in John Street in Worksop.
The nearby houses were evacuated and declared an important incident after the explosion, which happened just before 20:00 BST on Saturday.
Emergency services have not confirmed details or low.
A spokesman for the Fire Service said: “The building involved in this explosion has been significantly damaged.
“Structural engineers will evaluate the situation later today, but people who avoid the area are advised.
“Three fire trucks remain in the scene in this incident, with fire teams working together with specialized urban search and rescue teams to account for all local residents.”

CH INE NEIL HUMPHRIS, or Nottinghamshire Police said: “This is an important incident and emergency services will remain on the scene throughout the night.
“Multiple properties have been evacuated while we work with our partners to respond to this incident and understand how it happened.”
The Crown Place Community Center opened for residents and the police remained in place to provide assistance.

Karolina Ciolko, who lives nearby, told the BBC: “I was lying in bed when I heard an explosion.
“I quickly looked out the window. I saw smoke and the car in front of me swayed and the alarm got off. We quickly ran from the house to see what had happened.”
