According to the figures of the Department of Education, there were nine primary schools throughout the municipality about the capacity between 2023 and 2024.
Some of these are of a single student, while others are above the capacity of up to 13.
It was discovered that both Clockhouse Elementary School at Clockhouse Lane, Collier Row and Nelmes Elementary School in Wingletye Lane, Horchurch, was the greatest capacity.

In Wingletye Lane, Nelmes Elementary School there were also 13 students above the capacity, with figures that revealed that it had 433 enrolled despite its 420 school places.
The Catholic Elementary School of St Mary’s in Horchurch Road, Horchurch offered ten additional schools to students, carrying their capacity from 413 people to 423.

The figures of the Department of Education showed that their 588 school places stretched to facilitate 596 students.

Crowlands Primary School in London Road, Romford had seven students above their capacity of 611 place for school.
Drapers’ Brookside Infant School and Salette Catholic Primary School (Image: Google Maps / Canva) The Catholic Elementary School of San José in St Marys Lane, Upminster, had a lot of capacity in four places, while ELM Park Elementary School in South End Road had three additional students compared to their number of places.
The Brookside Children’s School of the two Drapers at the Harold Hill Catholic Elementary School and La Salette in Dunedin Road, Rainham had capacity for one student each.
