Five east London towns that were once part of Essex

The London Government Law in 1963 saw the creation of 32 districts of London and the city of London.

This meean that its surroundings, such as Essex, had far and classified as London under municipalities such as Havering and Barking and Daysham.

The villages within the thesis districts ceased to be part of Essex, and all its residents became London.

However, many people in the thesis cities would argue that there are still more part of Essex than London.

Romford

Romford market (Image: Google) Romford was typical of the municipality, but now it is the largest city in London County of Havering Althegh, many locals prefer Cender to their estate of Essex.

The debate here is as animated as anywhere in East London, with young people who even lead to social networks to conduct surveys and gather opinions.

Romford has been a substantial market city since 1247 and according to the Plumploot data firm, it had a population of around 591,000 axis of people of 2022.

Pordillero

Horchurch merged with the Romford district in 1965 (Image: Google) Now it is also part of Havering Horchurch, which used to be an agricultural city in western Essex.

Horchurch merged with the Romford district in 1965 and the first publication of the Council, called The Havering Review, included articles about “The Great Takeover”, as well as information about the services of the Library and the Queen Theater in Horchurch.

Tim Lambert of local history described the city as “a prosperous suburb of London” in an article about the history of the city.

Bark

The Barking Train Station was inaugurated in 1854 (Image: Google) Barkking once was a quiet village of Essex that focused on fishing and agriculture, but that has become commercially and industrially and is now part of the London district of Barking and Daysham.

Today Barking is known for its variety of stores and restaurants, including the Vicarage Field shopping center.

The city is treated by transport links such as the Barking train station that opened in 1854 and has been part of the London Metro since 1908.

Dagenham

Dagenham Library (Image: Google) Dagenham used to be a rural parish in the Becontree one hundred of Essex, which extends from the Hainult forest in the north to the Thames river in the south.

The area was mostly developing until the London County Council began the construction of Becotree urbanization in 1921.

Dagenham was chosen as a place for industrial activity and perhaps is more famous for being the location of the Ford Dagenham car plant, where a new neighborhood beam park is being developed.

In February, the newest film studies in London, Eastbrook Studios opened at Yew Tree Avenue.

West ham

By 1901, West Ham was the ninth most populous district in England (Image: Google) Perhaps not as known as the other cities of Essex, West Ham was the westernmost point governed by the Essex County Council.

The parish found rapid growth in the 1840s to become a large Victorian manufacturing city.

By 1901, it was the ninth most popular district in the country.

West Ham now belongs to the municipality of London or Newham.
