The body of an 18 -year -old has been recovered from water near Buncrana in Donegal County.
The Ireland Coast Guard told BBC News or that a public member of the public fell to the water an alert before 16:00.
Gardaí (Irish police) said that two teenagers under 18 were rescued from water.
Both were tasks for Letterkenny University Hospital and one remains in a serious condition.
Police said the local coroner has been notified and that a post mortem exam will be organized in due time.
The operation of multiple agencies was directed by Malin’s coast guard with the help of the police and the ambulance service.
An Irish coast guard helicopter was also involved in the search along with the Royal National Lifebat Institution (RNLI).
In a statement, the Coast Guard of Ireland thanked all the search and rescue units and members of the public who had helped in the search.
