The chief of Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner, hopes that the ankle suffered an ankle injury suffered by Adam Wharton on Monday night, will not rule out his key midfielder from the FA Cup final.
Wharton was the best exhibition player in the 1-1 1-1 draw of the Premier League with the manager of Nottingham Forest-in in front of England manager Thomas Tuchel-to Tuchel until he had to go with half an hour.
“I hope it’s not so serious,” said Glasner. “He’s a bit sore, hey, I twisted it a little, but I hope it’s nothing serious.”
Glasner was delighted that his side showed that they were not only focused on his Wembley date with Manchester City in 12 days.
They advanced through the penalty of Ebeeechi Eeze after Tyrick Mitchell was shot down by a combination of Nicolas Domínguez and Matz Sels in the area.
Referee Andy Madley initially did not give the penalty, but changed his mind after a look at the repetition, reserving the goalkeeper Sels for his problems.
Eze had lost his latest penalty, while Jean-Philippe Mateta also did not score one in the semifinal against Aston Villa.
But England’s attacker buried this, stuttering and everything.
However, the forest responded immediately when Murillo extended a leg to divert a shot by Neco Williams on the network.
Palace could have won late, but Eze cut the 20 -yard crossbar.
“I was satisfied with the desire to win the game,” Glasner added. “We lost a couple of Chans, especially at the end.
“We are hiding efficient enough, but the players showed that 100 percent wanted to win this game. I am delighted that we get a penalty after lost two.”
The offer of the five best of Forest can no longer be in their hands, but with clearly sellable games against Leicester and West Ham to come, all eyes could still be in a shooting on the last day with Chelsea for a place in the Champions League.
“It was a very intense game, with many Chans. I am proud that we could improve,” said Chief Nuno Espirito Santo.
“We need a lot of character, a lot of belief. We are pressing the players physically and mentally because we are in a battle in which no one expected to be.”
“The schedule is very difficult. It is a great fight in which we are involved and we need characters.”
Murillo also seemed to withdraw the jury, but Nuno added: “We will evaluate it. I wish it is nothing.”
As for whether Murillo meant his slightly fortuitous goal, Nuno said: “I think he just wanted to play the ball. Sometimes they leave.”
