London explosion: Video captures terrifying moment huge blasts shake city street
After multiple loud explosions in a London street in Hounslow emergency services were called. Four fire engines and rougly 25 firefighters were called to Rosebery Road after a garage caught alight. Early reports have indicated a fire broke out which caused two gas pipe explosions.
Local residents were able to record the smoke from the fire and the subsequent explosions.
The explosions also caused debris to fly into the home opposite, no injuries from the flying debris have been confirmed. There have not yet been any confirmed deaths but a man and woman are being treated for minor smoke inhalation.
The London Fire Brigade received a total of 25 calls about the fire with the earliest being at 11:30 am on Wednesday.
Fire crews from Heston, Twickenham and Hillingdon fire stations were able to get the fire under control by 12:51 pm.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
The London Fire Brigade also took to Twitter to comment on the incident and inform concerned Londoners.
The Twitter post read: “The garage fire in Hounslow is under control.
